Sunday Roast
The award winning Sunday Roast is one of Dublin city’s longest running weekly music club nights. Now in its 10th year, the club has been showcasing the best of Irish & International talent every Sunday night to large crowds and has established itself firmly amongst the musical community as an ideal showcase arena for up and coming and well established homegrown music.
Housed in the booming Mercantile Bar for the last 6 years, the Sunday Roast hosts a fresh, eclectic mix of musical styles and acts every week as well as offering customers complimentary bowls of their legendary home made roast potatoes; their trademark ‘gimmick’ that has become a fixture at the Roast.
A small roll call of names who have played on their stage highlights the reputation they have around town: Declan O’Rourke, Damien Dempsey, Mundy, Camille O’Sullivan, The Walls, Gavin Friday, James Blunt, Lisa O’Neill, Wallis Bird, O Emperor etc etc
The Sunday Roast has been run over 10 years by Keiron Black/ Alan Starr/John Brereton
