Muse Poetry and Music Open Mic at The Workman’s Club. An audience awaits..

The Workman’s Club is set to host the very successful Muse Open Mic to be held on Wednesday 6th August 2014 from 7 to 9.30pm at 10 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2. Muse Open Mic provides a showcase for poets, musicians, singers, actors and prose writers to perform new and original material in a supportive environment. As each performer is limited to three minutes per slot,Muse Open Mic is always entertaining, occasionally thought-provoking and never dull.

Founded by poet and musician Orla Martin in December 2006, the artistic mission of the event has a dual purpose, to provide an informal platform for artists to perform while promoting public access to the arts. Admission is free and all are welcome, divas and entourage alike. Previously located at the Loft Bookshop, the new home for Muse Open Mic series at the innovativeWorkman’s Club, marks a new and vibrant direction for both performers and audience.

Presenting an eclectic variety of art forms has been crucial for the series and past performances have included storytelling, dramatic monologues and even some drum ‘n’ bass.

Admission is free and all are welcome. For more information or if you wish to enquire about performing or attending the event, please see below contact details.
