James Connolly Festival-May 8th Events
This year sees the commencement of the first annual 'James Connolly Festival.' It will play host to a broad list of cultural and political acts and events - with music, theatre, poetry, films, art, debates and lectures intended for a new risen people from May 4th to 10th.
May 8th Events:
13:00-14:30: Hairy Jaysus by Donal O' Kelly. Donal O’Kelly’s solo show Hairy Jaysus is a view of pacifist, feminist and socialist Frank Sheehy-Skeffington seen through the eyes of a Dublin beggar today. Showing in The New Theatre and tickets €5.
16:00-18:00: Discussing Women's Libration-100 Years On. Micheline Sheehy-Skeffington and Sister Teresa Forcades discussing Women's Liberation - 100 years on, in The Red Room.
19:30-22:00: Music Night-Mark Geary. One of Ireland's best singer/songwriters will bring his blend of original music and harmony to the stage in The New Theatre. Tickets €15.
