James Connolly Festival-May 7th Events
This year sees the commencement of the first annual 'James Connolly Festival.' It will play host to a broad list of cultural and political acts and events - with music, theatre, poetry, films, art, debates and lectures intended for a new risen people from May 4th to 10th.
May 7th Events:
13:00-14:30: Hairy Jaysus by Donal O' Kelly. Donal O’Kelly’s solo show Hairy Jaysus is a view of pacifist, feminist and socialist Frank Sheehy-Skeffington seen through the eyes of a Dublin beggar today.
19:30: June and The Paycock; considered Sean O'Caseys greatest play Juno and the Paycock tells the story of poverty, tenements, dreams and tragedy to the background of the emerging Irish State and the Civil War – A classic. Tickets €10 and showing in The New Theatre.
22:00: Music, Craic and Plenty of Discussion in The Red Room.
