FAI Cup Finals
The FAI Cup Finals for 2014 take place on Sunday November 2nd in the Aviva Stadium with both the men's and women's finals happening back to back in a double-header. The blue riband event in the national football calendar is always an entertaining affair and makes for a great day out. The women's cup final kicks off at 12:20pm between UCD Waves and holders Raheny United. The men's Senior Cup Final kicks off at 3:30pm between 2012 cup winners Derry City and St. Patrick's Athletic in a repeat of the 2012 final. St. Pats will be trying to break their infamous "cup curse" which means the Inchicore side haven't lifted the famous old trophy since 1961. Liam Buckley's side, who feature the talents of Irish international Keith Fahey as well as the likes of Conan Byrne and Christy Fagan will go into the game as favourites and will be looking for revenge over Peter Hutton's men.
Last years finals were great entertainment with a late, late win for Sligo Rovers and some great football in show. Tickets are competitively priced at just €10 for adults and €5 for children. In addition any FAI International season ticket holders have free access to the game.
