Diggin For Dracula – Bram Stoker Festival
When veteran war correspondent John Sean Hillen was lured to Transylvania for more than ten years to write for The Times, The Irish Times and The Daily Telegraph of London, he began researching the Dracula story. Hillen’s presentation, based on his book Digging for Dracula is an esoteric tale of adventure across Europe and the USA on a search for literary truths and the meanings of centuries-old myths. John Sean Hillen has worked as a journalist and editor almost thirty years. His work has taken him from covering the ‘Troubles’ in Northern Ireland; the dying days of the Communist regime in Romania; to the Gulf War. He has also been a correspondent in medicine, science and archaeology.
