December Events in National Library of Ireland
Ireland's National Library is hosting a number of events this December including lunchtime talks on Christmas through images and stories, guided tours on the Yeats Exhibition and World War Ireland.

Tuesday December 5th at 7pm
Lecture: A Bridge across Time? The Historian and Oral History in Ireland
Come along to the Oral History Network of Ireland's inaugural annual lecture, in association with the NLI. Dr Maura Cronin of Mary Immaculate College will examine the way oral history can narrow the gap between old and young.

Lunchtime talk: Deck the Halls: Christmas at the National Library
Join the NLI's Head of Outreach, Katherine McSharry for this seasonal trip through festive images and stories from the Library's collections.

Guided tour: Yeats exhibition
Visit the NLI for a free tour of its award-winning Yeats exhibition. Explore the life and work of one of the great poets of the twentieth century and his many fascinating interests including literature, folklore, theatre, politics and the occult.

Guided tour: The National Library's History & Heritage
This free tour examines the Library's rich architectural history and heritage. Beginning in the main hall of the Library, the tour also includes a visit to the Library's iconic reading room.
