MCD Proudly Presents British singer songwriter Ben Montague who has confirmed he will play Academy 2 on Thursday 2nd October. Tickets €19 including booking fee on sale now from Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.ie.

Ben Montague one of the UK’s most talented singer song writer's as present, he has supported The Wanted, Lawson and the Stereophonics amongst others, he first began making waves in late 2010, when he burst onto the scene with his single ‘Cant Hold me Down’ (taken from his debut album ‘Overcome’) which was play-listed for an incredible 5 weeks . Following the success of this first single, Ben continued to mesmerize listeners with his stunning second single ‘Haunted’, which beat off label backed competition to achieve the coveted BBC Radio 2 Record of The Week slot.

His second studio album ‘Tales of Flying and Falling’ was released in early 2013 and following on from where he left off, ‘Tales of Flying and Falling’ became BBC Radio 2’s “Album of the Week”.

2014 is another exciting year for Ben as he is teaming up with hit song producer Dan Gautreau (Alicia Keys, Ben Howard, Loveable Rouges), Ben has created an incredible selection of new material and his next single release ‘The Truth’ – will be out March 2014. He was also recently announced as the principal support for the much awaited Shane Filan ‘You and Me Tour’ which kicks off this month.
