‘A Summer in Dublin’ – Songs in the Key of D
The Songs In the Key of D choir expand their vocal range to sixty choristers and return for a special summer concert called A Summer In Dublin.
Following sell out concerts at the Dublin Fringe Festival last year and at the National Concert Hall earlier this year, the Songs In The Key Of D choir get bigger and better returning for a special summer concert called A Summer In Dublin. Showcasing a musical journey through Dublin city while highlighting music from Handel to Hansard and Lynott to Drew, this unique singing sensation will be performed by real Dubliners honouring the city’s music, while featuring music from contemporary singing trio Trillogy – This not to be missed show runs at the National Concert Hall’s Main Auditorium, Wednesday 2 July for one night only.
Songs in the Key of D is a choir made up of people living across the city of Dublin. Its aim is to create a deeper connection between the city and its songs. The choir was set up to bring together people living in all parts of Dublin to explore songs that have a connection with the city and to capture what songs most represent about it both in the past and present.
