See you Next Christmas!
It’s time to say farewell until the next Christmas season!
It’s a New Year and with it we say thanks to everyone who made Christmas in Dublin Town a truly magical experience.
Christmas 2018 saw the main man in red, Santa Claus, switch on the DublinTown Christmas Street lights with help from FM104 presenter Crossy during a cold night in November. Thankfully we managed to capture it on video – watch here.
DublinTown, in partnership with Visa Ireland, launched the first ever interactive Christmas Tree that’s activated with a contactless payment card. Donations from the trees, located on Liffey Street Upper and South King Street, go to Temple Street Children’s Hospital. A lot of you did #tapfortemplestreet so thank you! Watch here to see how it worked
Big thanks again to our partners, Visa Ireland and media partner FM104, and to everyone who clicked on the website to find out what’s happening in the city for Christmas.
Another great big thanks goes to the businesses in the city centre who make Dublin Town the place to be for shopping, dining and socialising, There really is nowhere like Dublin at Christmas.
Throughout the festive season we had some great competitions with fantastic prizes from businesses in the Grafton Quarter and Dublin One areas, making some very happy winners for Christmas.
We also managed to capture the magic of Christmas in Dublin Town with a little video of people enjoying the city’s streets under the DublinTown Christmas Street lights.
We’ll leave you with this and hope you have an AMAZING New Year and look forward to seeing you all back here for Christmas 2019!
