A Perfect Day in Dublin At Christmas: Accents Lounge
We asked Anna Young, owner of Accents Coffee & Tea Lounge, to describe her perfect day in #DublinAtChristmas.
My perfect day in Dublin at Christmas would begin with putting on a good pair of shoes, so that I could walk around and soak it all up! I love Dublin’s relaxed vibe – a capital city with all the events and amenities that go with that, but an intimate town atmosphere, with destinations that are easy to reach and friendly faces on route!
I would stroll around Stephens Green people watching and then make my way down Grafton Street and take in the Christmas atmosphere with the great lights and immerse myself in the hustle and bustle, ensuring I stop to appreciate the festive window displays and street performers.
What a fantastic addition to Dublin – it’s inspiring and uplifting and makes if difficult not to have a skip in your step!
My journey would take me to, in my opinion, one of the best ways of understanding the Irish culture – Stand Up comedy!! The wonderful character of Dublin is framed brilliantly by the attitude of “it will be grand” and “having the craic” – no better way to spend some time, than listening to observational humour in a quintessential old man’s pub!
I didn’t always think that Dublin had everything that I feel a capital city should. I was greatly missing an evening coffee lounge, as to end the perfect day is with a coffee or tea!
The chat & giggles that go on in #DublinTown is not always with a pint in hand anymore. We are open minded to the idea of telling stories sober!!
Accents Coffee & Tea Lounge has become this sober pub with offerings of coffee, tea and hot chocolates, to enrich the city with another choice – another place to socialise and have the chat this Christmas!
