Smyths Toys launch ‘If I were a Toy’ campaign
Smyths Toys Superstores has unveiled it’s brand ad for Christmas launching their ‘If I were a Toy’ campaign.
This year’s lovable Oscar is back in a brand new story and he is also helping to raise funds for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation through sells of a plush toy that looks like him.
We first met Oscar on his 2016 journey through the toy store, where he met an array of toys we know and love. Now Oscar’s imagination has made the toy store his theatre, with a whole cast of iconic performers, from Barbie to Buzz and Woody. Oscar and the toys proudly present a new version of the song “If I Were a Toy”, showing us the magic of the toy store through the eyes of a child. The campaign will be supported with a 360 integrated launch including TV, Youtube and social campaign.

We have fallen in love with this character’s imagination, and we hope he captures the joy every child feels in a toy store.
Smyths Toys have brought Oscar’s story to life by creating a plush toy of this playful character. The retailer has confirmed they will be donating all the profits from sales of Oscar to CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation. Smyths Toy Superstores have committed to donating a minimum of €50,000 to CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation.

Smyth’s Toys have been wonderful friends and supporters of Temple Street for many years and we are thrilled that they they are raising vital funds for both Temple Street and Crumlin this Christmas. The funds raised by this amazing festive initiative will be put to work where they are needed most in both hospitals in the year ahead.
